Corporate and Community sponsorship is one the main ways we resource many of our cadet activities, events and competitions. In addition, this funding helps pay for individual and unit cadet equipment such as sabers, drill rifles, trophies etc.
One of our parent volunteers, Charlie Creamer, started our corporate sponsorship program in 2006 by asking Gallup-Craig Construction if they could donate a cargo trailer to our JROTC unit. Gallp-Craig quickly supported his request and provided us with a wonderful new trailer (worth $2,000) to carry JROTC supplies and equipment to various events.
Not only does the trailer carry equipment, but it is also an advertising vehicle (no pun intended!) for local businesses. These businesses donate to our program and in return, we affix their company logo on our trailer for a period of one year. We also recognize our sponsors at our yearly awards night. This is truly a win-win situation for everyone involved and we can't say enough about the generosity of our local business community. They really care about our students and our program.
