Many cadets who attend JROTC have the leadership, dedication and drive to qualify for civilian as well as military scholarships. By the time a JROTC cadet graduates the program after 4 years, they have hundreds of community and school support hours as well as other skills that are valued by colleges and universities (and of course employers) The JROTC program helps students prepare for college regardless of whether a cadet decides on a military or civilian career
I went into JROTC with no desire to join any of the military branches. I left feeling the same way. JROTC helped me to be more confident in not only myself but the work that I did in my other classes. It may not make sense as you read this, but this program turned me from a girl who couldn't talk in front of her peers to a woman who could do anything that she put her mind to. JROTC was one of the best desicions I ever made and the family bond you create with other cadets is something that, in the future, you'll cherish.
It is very easy for me to say that I grew as a person thanks to Army JROTC. I came into the program with little to no confidence in myself and with a very high degree of shyness. After four years in the program I've not only gained confidence and come out of my shell, but I have also learned that through discipline and hard work all of the goals that I set for myself can be achieved. As I go into College, I will always remember the lessons learned in the program but most importantly the family that I have made

Congratulations to our Battalion Commander, Cadet LTC Rebecca Dolce, for being selected to the U.S. Naval Academy. Rebecca is the first cadet in our program and the first student in our school to be selected for this honor. She started in 2010 on a scholarship worth over $350,000 . What a wonderful achievement for a great cadet.
Congratulations to Alison Hayes who recently became the very first Titan JROTC graduate to be commissioned as a military officer. Alison graduated from our JROTC program in 2007 after serving as our Cadet Battalion Commander. She earned a $140,000 U.S. Army ROTC Scholarship to The Citadel and spent four--often very challenging--years there preparing for her role as an Army officer. She is now an Army Lieutenant and we are so very proud of her. She is the first in what will become a long line of former students to serve our military as officers. Meanwhile, we already have former cadets serving our country in a variety of enlisted positions in the Navy, Army, Air Force and Marines. We are proud of all of them! HOOAH!
